Alright all, still not sure whether or not to get my second m3 ds simply from modchipstore, or another site. Out of the following three which would you recommend: Real Hot Stuff Console Source, or ModChipStore. Which of those would I get the best service out of?
    --EDIT--
The reason I'm asking, is because I have one that I ordered from modchipstore. While they did get me the product quickly initially, I had to submit a ticket, wait over a week, to get an RMA. Then they had the chip for well over a week before sending out the replacement, with no confirmation between times. The only way you can get ahold of them is thru their website (not even an email address to send to) and I really don't like that. Either way, will be placing order for second (for my sister) tonight, if someone gets back to me. Thanks.

    Just a quick question...

I got my m3 Simply and have been enjoying it but I've determined that I need a bigger SD Micro Card; however...the Kingston brand-one I got would be over $50 USD...so, unless I can find that brand cheaper; does anyone have any good suggestions for cheap 2GB cards that will hold up to the rigors of going in and out of a SD adaptor; then please let me know.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi there, I'm a newbie but have been reading intensively for the last week. I ordered a R4,got it to work with MP3 and movies but having problem downloading NDS ROMs from NDS-ROM.com with eMule v0.47c because of waiting line. Are there any faster way to download ROM ? And I also have a lot of original commercial cards that I'd like to backup (or dumping) to PC so I can put it on The R4. How can I do that ?
Thanks a lot for any help.

Try www.emuwizards.com for your NDS games.

There is currently no way of backing up your own games using the R4 (or any other slot-1 device)

Sorry if this has already been asked, but does anyone know how I can use the browser if I don't have the expansion thing?

    Yes and No.

No, not with only the the slot-1 device.

Yes, If you willing to buy a compatible slot-2 device such as the M3 Lite or the EZFlash 3in1

Hi i just purchased a M3 DS Simply + 1gb Kingston Sd Mem card.

On the Mem card i have the following:

    Moonshl (Folder)
    _System_ (folder) (ebook, Themes)
    _DS_Menu.DAT
    _DS_MSHL.nds
    Game (Folder)

I load up the Ds with M3 Simply in and select the Game option. I have 5 games on the card (.nds) i select one and it boots ok. But when i try the others the loading bar takes ages to load and freezes!
Why does only 1 game work at a time? Do you know what im doing wrong?
I have tried each .nds game seperatly and each work.

Can you have multiple .nds games on a mem card and play each?
Oh and the game (.nds) that works has a game icon nxt to it and the ones that dont work have a DS icon nxt to them?

    Help!! :(

Sounds like you roms are corrupt, all games have an icon as far as I know. Were the roms verified roms ?.

Each rom works ok when by itself on the memory card. But i dont see the point in having a 1GB mem card if i can only play 1 Game rom at a time. Video and Mp3 work fine as well :(

    E.g

    Mario1.nds - - - Works and boots up ok
    mario2.nds - - - Loading bar freezes
    mario3.nds - - - Loading bar freezes
    mario4.nds - - - Loading bar freezes
    mario5.nds - - - Loading bar freezes

    :(

When in the main menu of the M3 (with the 3 icons) press select to change theme, repeat the process to go through all the themes.

    I'm having problems with moonshell..

I forgot where I got the moonshell I have on my DS from (maybe it was the version that came on the disc with my M3 Simply card). But when I click the moonshell icon (the one in the middle), I quickly get this screen saying something about some errors, but it disappears in a second, so I can't read what it says.

After that screen I get to choose one of my files, but no mater which file I choose, it says that the file isn't supported.

I've tried going to the link you mentioned in your first post, because I wanted to download some other version of moonshell, but that site doesn't work for me. I then googled moonshell, and I got this package that had all kinds of setup files and plugins and a lot of different folders in it... And that stuff just confuses me like hell :)

So could you please give me a step-by-step guide.. A really dumbed-down one wouldn't hurt :D

Also, on a different note, when I press the R button while in the M3 Simply menu, there's this little red icon in the upper corner turning green.. What's this for?

    Thanks a lot in advance

That is soft-reset (red=off, green=on) when on you can press a key combo (L+R+A+B+X+Y) in-game to return to the M3 menu.

As for MoonShell, i am not going to do a full step by step for getting the latest, but i'll do a quick guide for getting the Moonshell for v1.03 working:

    Go here: http://www.kiwiclx.com/nds/
Click on "Enter the File Repository"
    Click on "firmware"
Download "M3_DS_Simply_System_v1.03_English.zip" (7.4MB, downloads in about 15 seconds on my connection)
    Open the zip file
Open the "M3_DS_Simply_System_v1.03_English" folder found inside
Copy "_DS_MSHL.NDS" and "moonshl" to your MicroSD card

You should now have a working version of Moonshell. You will still get an error when you boot it, but it does not effect how it works.
From the top of my head I know Moonshell supports .txt, .bmp, .jpg, .mp3 and .dpg, I am not sure if launching homebrew from it is supported on the M3 DS Simply.

thanks a lot, but that's the site that won't work. When I go to the file repository, I get a message saying: "Incorrect format for file ./languages/da.txt on line 24.
    Format is "variable name[tab]value""

    it really sucks :(

Strange as it works perfectly for me (using Firefox on ubuntu Linux), I even visited the site to do my quick Moonshell install guide.

I'll re-host the file on one of those file-sharing sites.
    UPDATE:
    http://rapidshare.com/files/24508337/M3_DS_Simply_System_v1.03_English.zip.html
This is the identical zip file from the other site, so continue the M3 guide from the Download "....

The site which isn't working for you is maintained by another afterdawn user, so hopefully they'll see your post and be able to fix the problem.

Hey again.. Got moonshell working, thanks a bunch.

I realize my super-noobiness may be kind of annyoing :) But I'd like to know what the DLDI-patching is about (it seems to be needed for many homebrew things) and how it's done.

I've read some of this stuff (http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?showtopic=588711), but it really doesn't make sense to me. Can someone please help me out? I'm pretty interested in DSorganize or whatever it's called, but I think I need to DLDI patch it first..
