The SD or miniSD will be fine, it's just if you don't mind it sticking out.

1GB is more than enough for an average user, I have a 1GB CF card with my M3.

Did anyone test the G6 yet? I do not have any SD cards or readers, so getting the M3+Passcard+SD Card+card reader might be alittle too costly. From what I gathered on the net, the G6 can play DS Roms in standalone, without any Passcard and it has a USB interface for PC.

Not sure if my question should be here or open a new thread, sorry if it's misplaced.

For info, I have a DS-Lite, dunno if it's relevant.

    Thanks a mil!

Probably would of been better off in a new thread.

The G6 needs a Passcard3 to work (or FlashMe).
It does come with a USB adapter so you can connect it to a computer.
Get the G6 Lite if you have the DS Lite, it fits perfectly :)

I have the G6 Lite and have only ever had one game not work on it (FFIII) but after updating the G6 that worked fine.

EDIT:Actually the G6 can work without a Passcard, but it would only be in GBA mode, so you can't play DS games etc.

it should be in the same download file as the game manager. Look for a folder called "loader", and when you double click that you will see two folders: CF and SD. Go in the appropriate folder and you will find a file called update.e26 or something like that.. and stick that in the root of your SD/CF card (copy paste, do not use game manager for it)

I have just bought a brand new DS and a m3 sd micro and a passcard 3. But I get white screens on several games mostly mario or nintendo games. I think they have done something to these new ds lites, do I need a file on my sd card for the passcard 3 to work right? Any ideas? Thank you, dirk mcwhirter.

First thing you should do is upgrade your M3 firmware to the latest (currently v27a) and transfer you problem games again.

If you are still having problems try using the Normal Load setting for games under 32MB.

EDIT: And install the latest v27a Gamemanager on your computer.

Just to let everyone know I have just updated my guide.

I have changed an error where www.winsunx.com was written wwww.winsunx.com
Changed latest firmware from v22 to v27a
Added info on the 'Force R/W' found in v26 onwards when using games from the scene over number 0530.
Added http://www.realhotstuff.com/ as a site to purchase from.

cool, great update! i'd say add a few more well known stores on there, like getyourgameshere.com and gamersection.ca. maybe even modchipstore.com?

I've only listed stores that either my friends or I have used, or that I have seen repeatedly mentioned in this DS forum (realhotstuff).

I do know of places such as modchipstore, but I have not used them, nor have they beeen recommended much for DS homebrew.

I have the supercard already. If I want to install more game to my miniSD card, what do I need? Do I need the password in order to install games?

Its 4Gbit - meaning 512 Megabytes. Same as a G6 Lite. You can hold a decent amount of games on there, probably about 6 depending on the sizes
