I used some parts of the guide in a technical essay I wrote, I disscussed wether I could use it with my tutor and was told that if I added my course info to the guide to prove it's my work it's fine.

isn't the nds mode cropped screen too? in gba mode you can just change the settings in the main menu to play gba games on the top screen. is the quality better in nds mode? like super mario for nes. will it be better to use nesDS to play it or just use the gamemanager?

    http://m3wiki.com/index.php?title=M3_NDS_roms

This is an up-to-date list of all games that work with the M3 and what settings are used to make them work, make sure you have the latest firmware on your M3 for newer games.

doesn't the M3 pro not have any type of memory on board? that means all games would have to be "Fast Boot" 4x.. right? A friend of mine bought one and he can only get games to work when its in 4xDMA mode

I've never thought about it, I've always assumed the M3 Pro was only missing the hardware required to play GBA games.

Looks like I need to do some research :)

    EDIT:
Well whaddya know, it dosn't have it :p

So having a Pro will lower the compatibilty overall, however only a few games should be affected (can't think of many that must have Normal load to work)
Is a problem for larger homebrew applications though.

fast boot only loads the first batch into the memory though doesn't it? so it shouldn't affect compatibility too much.. just in regards to what settings to use

Fast Boot runs the game directly from the SD/CF card no additional memory needed - hence why it has always been a good idea to get a fast card, normal load moved the game into RAM (where it was guarenteed to run fast from) but only games under 32MB would fit.

GBA games needed to be copied into the RAM to work, but as it's not there they obviously can only use the DS's RAM (4MB)

With the link you gave me, after i click on M3 V30 (Latest Version) it opens up a sub tree, of a ton of files, what files do i need out of there? I'll be using a M3 Perfect, with a 2 GB miniSD, on a normal Blue DS not a light. With

    e -- English
    b -- Chinese Big5
    c -- Chinese GB
    j -- Japanese
    k -- Korean
    f -- French
    g -- German
    i -- Italian
    n -- Dutch
    p -- Portugese
    s -- Spanish
    t -- Thai
so download all of the ones with the e?

I got the latest V30A Game Manager fro dualscene. It doesn't have the force R/W option anymore. And whenever I put a lot of ROMs into my SD (>500MB). The M3 will read corrupted filenames and the everything get corrupted reading from my laptop. I have to format it. Do I use FAT or FAT32 format?
    Thanks!
