    Hello, ahbhu:

You're not going to be able to backup your hard drive with Disk Utility. Try a dedicated backup solution such as Retrospect, SuperDuper, etc.

    Cheers

    Hello, ahbhu:

The best application for backup? Time Machine. However, since you want a pre-Leopard backup, many people swear by Retrospect and SuperDuper; both are more than capable of performing a simple one-time backup.
