I'm having problems with my Magnavox recorder. I cannot get a signal from my cable box through this thing. I haven't tried to hook a dvd player up through it though. I usually don't have problems hooking anything up but I'm missing something here. I've used all the different inputs and outputs from the cable box, dvd recorder and tv. There is no input select on the recorder. I'm getting ready to take it back to walmart.

My son bought the magnavox mwr20v6 dvd/vcr combo for my Christmas gift which we took back because of timmer record problems. He then bought the seperate machines. The magnavox mwr10d6 wasn't compatible with the 10 year t.v. so we hooked it up to the 13" t.v. in the bedroom. The first two days of timmed recording went will, but now we are having trouble with this one just like the combo. We list more than one program to record & it will record the first one just fine but the second one it won't at all, with the timmer record light either still standing on or the machine turning timmer record off. I can't understand what is going on. Is it the machine malfunctioning or are we doing something wrong?

Big Lots is blowing out reconditioned units at $59.99 this week. I bought one and am busily putting it through its paces. Thus far, it is interesting for the price.

The remote, however, is as bad as I've seen. You almost have to be right in front of the unit for it to work.
