well as i said before, it is the mother board. i tried the psu but it didnt do anything when i put in a 400 wat psu, just the fans worked. as i said before, the ram caused a voltage block on the motherboard, no matter how much voltage the psu supply to the board, the board doesnt get enough power to feed to the ram and cpu.

ok, well ever since i got the graphics card to run normally, i tried to over clock it to 2.88ghz and everything botted up fine, but as soon as i tried going into my game the introduction to it which plays a short movie froze on me there. so later on when i get home i'll try switching the ram to different slots.

I have lost track of how many computers I have built and or worked on. Thousands ??? I do not know. I have had the same situation no Bios etc. On occasion the jumper / battery trick has worked. I am sorry I offered to help [ "and it still doesn't work" ] , if you are going to have an attitude....

When i put that in i never meant to offend you. I was just trying to list off what i had done to try to alleviate the problem. Sorry for any misunderstanding.

That`s Ok !! Just a suggestion that`s quick , easy and does not cost anything to try. It has worked for me in the past. It`s always worth a shot...

If it's not anything but the RAMs fault, it could be that you did not put them in proper order. You need to put them in a systematic place based upon the requirements of the mobo. For my board (which is a very stable Via KT-600A), I need to put my Kingston 512 MB sticks on the outer ends of the slots (in which I have 3 slots) for it to operate normally. I really don't remember if that's the case for this situation, but it wouldn't hurt to try it.
