making dvd which can fast fwd?????

    Gday,have converted many movies etc from avi to dvd using "winavi",then I burn with nero.My problem is that when I play these movies etc in my dvd player,I can't fastfwd the movie at all.Does anyone know of a program for authoring or burning that can possibly help me out??? Any help appreciated.

    PS have also played these movies in many dvd players with the same result.

    Don't use Winavi.
    A properly encoded and authored DVD will react exactly like a commercial one, and Winavi doesn't do it correctly.
    Search the guides on how to encode and author.

    thanks mate,but all other programs used to convert from avi to dvd etc take 3 times as long as winavi.
    PS,recently have found dvd lab and am experimen... with this program.Thanks for the help anyway.
