Making DVDs for home DVD players

    How do you make a DVD that can be played on a home DVD player??

    Are you referring to making a backup of a DVD you've purchased or creating a DVD from video clips, etc. you have?

    Also make sure your burner firmware is up to date:

    And use good quality media like Verbatim, Taiyo Yuden, and made in Japan labeled Sony and Fuji.

    Lastly, don't burn at max speed. A good rule of thumb is half or less the rated speed of the media if your burner supports that speed.
