i should warn you all that I am very newbie to all this!!!

Please help... Can any of you tell me if i can take a DVD Movie and using some piece of software or other, can I turn it into mpeg, avi, or any common video file that i can then load into a video editing programme (such as pinnacle studio 8) so that i can cut it up into movie clips of 30 seconds or so?

if the above is possible, please can someone tell me what software I need and where i can get the step by step guide to do it!?

Thanks your time, sorry again if i'm wasting everybody's time, bu if i don't ask i won't get!!

    Thanks all

    Kayhay

Yeah, im afraid that isnt legal on this forum.

Adone premier Pro, thats the one. It was truely excellent for editing. You can sue Adobe Encore for the DVD formating of it as well.
