I use memorex, and all kind of cheap media. 16x/8x burning and never have a problem. I honestly think it's more of the drive than the media.

LOL Could be something to that. Since there are good and bad drives and good and bad media, when you put double bad together, the user has gotten the double whammy.

As for using a lot of cheap media, cheap doesn't always equal poor quality. However it appears as though you're pushing your luck. Sounds like you've been lucky because there are discs out there that cause recording problems all on their own. Before you feel the need to add it, there's drives that will do the same.

Hey everyone! Musta been a good question?!? Anyways I thank all for the responses. I have ripped and burned a disk. when burning i used the same "memosux" i believe someone said. i burned a 4x, 8x, 16x, and max which says 13.5x, copy. i will now see which of these copies can be successfully ripped and copied. Granted a varible is the fact that with media it may just be that the only good burn was on a copy that was done with poor media and now i can not even copy any of them. I will post my preliminary findings. i used the latest versions of DvdFabDecrypter, DvdShrink, and DvdDecrypter, in that order.
    Caio!
