    Hi,

I found this thread and wanted to share, the reason you don't relate to the typical meaning of name is because names in themselves have no true meaning, but it is the letter in the names that have the meaning, the historical value is none.

For instance Martyn is interesed in solving problems and overly focuse on challenges in his life.

You can see our site http://www.NameReading.com for the true way to understand Name Meanings.

    My name is Joel Perdue.

Joel is Hebrew meaning; God is willing, Jehova is Lord.

Perdue is Old French meaning.... Lost.

There is a nice Family story about where "Lost" came from... Maybe I will share it....

My first name is Gerald which means "The rule of the spear"

My last name means "Of the willows". Guess I should be poking people with spears in some willow patch. I'll bring my Dad. Sounds like an interesting way to spend an afternoon.

    My name is kinda interesting;

    GREGORY
    Gender: Masculine
    Usage: English
    Pronounced: GREG-or-ee

From the Latin Gregorius, which was from the late Greek name Γρηγοριος (Gregorios), which was derived from γρηγορος (gregoros) meaning "watchful, alert". This was the name of several saints including three Fathers of the Church: Saint Gregory Thaumaturgus (3rd century), Saint Gregory of Nyssa, and Saint Gregory of Nazianzus (both 4th century). This was also the name of 16 popes, including Gregory I, who was known as Gregory the Great.

ah, Nephilim...hmm...an amazing race. if i remember properly, they were the bastard giant child of the seraphim and mortal women, cursed by god and the object of human nightmares. Supposedly eliminated at the base of Noah's Ark during the Great Flood.

    MICHAEL

    Gender: Masculine

    Usage: English, German, Czech, Biblical

    Pronounced: MIE-kul [key]
From the Hebrew name Miyka'el which meant "who is like God?". This is the name of one of the seven archangels in Hebrew tradition and the only one identified as an archangel in the Bible. In the Book of Revelation in the New Testament he is portrayed as the leader of heaven's armies, and thus is considered the patron saint of soldiers. This was also the name of nine Byzantine emperors and a czar of Russia. Other more modern bearers of this name include the 19th-century chemist/physicist Michael Faraday and basketball player Michael Jordan.
