Media center xp and blueray question

    I have a window media center xp computer setup on my hd tv. If i get blueray rips will that work on media center? I just want to play hd movies. I have an hd tv and regular DVDs just dont cut it. I dont have a ps3 so just curious if i cant play the rips with what I got.
