Hi all, Trying to rip a DVD (my first) to my hard drive using DVD decrypter. When I first launch the program I get the error "media region code mismatched to logical unit region"
I have tried un-installing and re-installing the program and researching this error on the web. I found a couple of threads on the subject but none of them give a definitive answer to the problem. I use a P4 2.8C (HT) 1Gb Corsair DDR, 2x80Gb and 1x200Gb Hard drives and Windows XP pro (NTFS) - oh and my burner is an optorite DD0203 (with latest firmware update)

    Any ideas?

ignore error, all it will say is that it will have to use a different method and use brute force, click on and carry on....happens everytime you use region that is different to your drive......

Get an RPC 1 upgrade for yoyr firmware or ignore it as cliff says.

Thanks for the quick replies. Here is what I see when
    I ignore the error...
this always happens at 97%. Once I click on OK, the
program continues to 100% and tells me that the rip
    has been successful.
When I go into the folder I created, I see the file that I
    just ripped.
So it kind of looks like it rips the DVD.
At this point I am concerned that if I go to write to a
blank DVD I will make a $2 coaster.

Here is a screenie of the final log file.

Also, where can I get a RPC update? is this free?
Any help you can give this DVD noob would be
    appreciated.

    Thanks

Just a little update on my problem. I ignored the error, and burnt to a blank Memorex 4x DVD+R.
I didn't receive any errors during the burn and it plays in my Panasonic home DVD player. I didn't play the whole movie - so I am unable to tell if it all burnt as expected.

RPC 1 updates are usually free Firmware hacks to enable multi-region playing. You should check the last few minutes of the DVD to make sure it has burnt correctly since the error was 97% through.

I watched the movie and it seems to have copied perfectly.
