Look, if so many people are making the same point and might I add repeatedly, wouldn't you think that it's time to take an introspective look at yourself and see if it's something that you are perpetuating which incenses others and evoke the responses that you get. You said that if you wanted to offend DRD, you would have called him gay, but since you didn't want to offend him I guess the analogy was only to illustrate your point. I don't think that you really intended to offend him, but you did as well as those of us who see him as a figure of authority, who has given us this great site that we all love. Here's an analogy which I'm sure you'll understand. I don't know your(someone special to you) and I don't want to insult (her/him) but if (her/him) is responsible for your behavior then.......and I could fill here with some horrible words to illustrate my point but I won't. It's really a matter of how we use the english language but if I had actually said what is implied look how much more inflammatory it would have been(see the similarity to mentioning DRD and the insinuated derogatory association) and even though I didn't elaborate the innuendo alone is enough to incense even the best of us. My brother lives in New Zealand, apparently a couple of small islands off the coast of Australia. As there are only 5 or 6 people living in Australia & 2 or 3 in New Zealand (compared to the UK that is! LOL!) do you know him? LMAO!!
