I am trying to use VirtualDub to merge two avi files.
I load up the first file, then click append avi, and select the second.
I get an error message saying:
Cannot append segment the video streams have different sampling rates(29.97000 vs. 25.00000)

So this means one is PAL(25.00000fps) and one is NTSC(29.97000fps).

Is there a way of merging these I used a program called 'Easy video joiner' and it merged but when I played the file back it had chopped the end of the movie off! (Not all of the second part just the end of the second part, but quite alot of it, which is usless)

Is there any way of merging these files??

I'm new to all this so talk so I can understand you :)

    Thanks in advance,
    Danny

Yes just downloading the trial version.

It's a fully-blown video editor, so it should be able to merge two files easily. Might take a little while to learn it tho.
