downloaded DVD info pro. I put in +rw disc to erase....status bar says ready....click erase icon... and message appears in status bar "no media present in drive". Strangely sometime back I had a different reaction, my dvd rom drive wasn't being reconized, because a 'generic' drive had installed itself and taken precidence. On the advice of a senior member in here I installed dvd Infopro and managed to re-establish the pathway... seems the generic drive was, and still is digi camera software. regards and luck gringle
