microsoft banning xboxes

As some of you have probably heard microsoft have been on a banning spree for xbox live users.....2 of my friends have been banned in the last 2 days....its a bit of a coinsidence that theyve had theyre xboxes flashed for ages and played a number of games but its only since MW2 is due to be released people are suddenly being caught....its the most talked about game of the year and is suspected to rake in £150 million in the 1st 24hours???? Apparently microsoft are streaming a code to online users to detect if your xbox is chipped,even if you have played a copy game offline and with the hard drive off as soon as you get on xbox live there is a high possibility MS will still ban you, if you do get banned you can no longer use that xbox on line so efectively you can only play story mode of the games.......
