I thought these mini DV camcorders were supposed to have damn good quality, especially when compared to the older VHS camcorders. However, I am sorely dissapointed with what I'm seeing played back on my computer screen. I'm not expecting high definition quality or anything, but I thought it would be better than this. Footage seems to be grain/pixalated. I am using a Sony MiniDV Handycam and Maxell DV tapes. I am using Cyberlink PowerDirector 8 software. Could it be more my display monitor? I have a flat screen computer monitor, but it's not a high def display or anything. I have no tried seeing what the footage looks like played back a regular CRT television compared to my computer monitor. Any thoughts on this?
