I got a Panasonic VDR-M50 for Christmas and recorded video on Mini DVD-R discs. I am now trying to get the video into Windows Movie Maker. It wouldn't take the video from the disc when I put it in my computer and I can't get it to read it through the USB port from the camera. I think I might need to convert to DV-AVI or WMV but I don't know how to do that or what that is?

    Dear Aloubop,
Quite a few programs (e.g. Nero, DVDSanta, Image Mixer) have video capture functions. You may try those.
Also, mini discs are just like regular DVDs (only they are mini *_*). So you may just put them into the burner and do whatever you like with them using Nero and/or other burning softwares. For example, I like to use mini RWs to take movies, then burn them to HD, then burn 3-4 HD files onto a regular DVD-R for permanent storage. All these can be done with programs like Nero.
So please experiment a little yourself and come back if you still get problems.
    Happy DVD editing!
