hi, i'm living in Dublin and i have just moved to a MMDS area for NTL ,can you tell me if my starview
will work with NTL's mmds system,

right, Have 2 starviews in the hse, one down stairs and 1 up, I re-scanned the one downstairs and het presto, all channels cam in, but the one upstairs doesnt?? It gets all channels bar Setanta 2 and celtic tv etc etc they come on 3942500, but, it seems to have a problem with 394000 and 394250 for some reason, thinking this may be down to the splitter, this only happened since the change of freq by nthell

 

It would be the splitter causing this , bring the other b0x downstaires and scan it for the channels your missing and then try it upstaires

 

Celt, the box downstairs is bang on, all channels no hassles, brought it upstairs and setanta wont work nor celtic, the ones on the freqs above, looks like no signal what so ever on these channels when I plug the box in, so looks like mr spiltter needs to be replaced,

Anyone elses TV X not working ? that was one of the channels that went yesterday,I did an auto scan, it picked up the new one but this hasn't been workin either it's the only one that isn't,anyone else's like this ?

 

yeah TVX is still not running, got setanta 2, celtic tv, rangers on 394250,

 

TV X seems to be down all over the place,I wonder have NTL gotten rid of it.Nobody can seem to get it back workin no matter how many times you autoscan or turn off/on the box.

 

Mick there is quite a bit of work going on in your area and Ballyfermot at both the cabling and headends I will try to get more specific info as it is the weekend it is quite hard.

 

Add 394.000 and 402.000 to your tp list. Then do an autoscan. You will pick up all you channels. There will probably be a few duplicates under 395.000 just delete these.

Yes you will but the exact frequncy is now 394.000 and the picture quality will be somewhat degraded on 395.000.

The 387.000 and 395.000 frequencies have been downgraded, so the signal strenght is either weak or gone.

 

TVX is even missing off the subbed boxes, either it will come back as usually happens or it could be similar to men and motors and not come back.

 

I checked my normal pace box and 402 & 394 are correct. I put them on a dbox and one time it came up with odd readings on the techinical info page- like 402.003849

Odd numbers. It is working fine now, they always jump in units of 8 so 410 or 386 might be the next ones they change to.

My mate in tallaght still has the old frequencies, another in donnybrook only changed this morning, mine all went in south dublin dun laoghaire area yesterday or the day before.

TVX is gone on all, but the EPG is still there.

the second sports PPV is now showing a sky box office football film continuously. A radio channel was renamed and another empty channel appeared.

THe liverpool channel is due out soon which might appear on one of these dead feeds.

I did LOL And thanks Ruprect yes the frequenices and tps have been shifting quite a lot and as you said it is also localised but it will settle down just making room for more
