    HI !
Iwas following the newest guuide for divx encoding with DIVX5. First pass was created
without any problems, video and audio are OK.
But second pas requires divx.log file
for some reason this one is gone from the comp. So error is generated and second pass can not take a place. Any idea how to check why divx.log is dissappearing and how to prevent it. I always used the add job button checked.
When the logs starts to be created ?
At the begining of first pass ?

    Thanks for any suggestions.

    Adam

    PS.

This guide is really nice thanks to all who contributed.

    OK.
Now I will answer myself but maybe someone else will have the same problem. The reason for missing divx.log most probably was not following the guide. It looks like I selected
1-st pass first and then 2-pass second.
There is no way divx.log could be created.
The way it should be is described in guide. Here in short:
for first pass: option 2-pas first pass
for second pass: option 2-pas second pass
    I will try it soon.
Stupid mistake, sorry for creating unnecessary thread.

    All the best Adam

Heh, no biggie. Other thing -- divx.log seems to be missing in some cases when you try to encode video with non-standard resolutions (not multiplies of 16).
