Missing DVD/CD-ROM drives...???

    haha, well before going into regedit and doing what you had suggested i went to my second to last resort which probably should have been the first thing i had done....anyways i just uninstalled eversingle burning program on my comp and then installed alc. 120 again and it worked they showed back up!

    Hey Ianski, had a code41 error, deleted the upperfilters value (
    there was no lowerfilters value) , and my cd burner is back!
    thanks a lot, much appreciated

    You are very lucky it did not work for me ... I took my PC to a "doctor" and they ended up with a complete restore!?!?
    NOW IT IS WORKING
