I burned two DVD's with nero. I am missing a lot of hard disk space. I had about 13 free gigabytes before and now only have 4. I checked for the temp files that were supposedly stored in my documents. They weren't there, so I searched all files then sorted by size. The files still weren't there. So I did scan disk and it found no errors in my file table. Is there any way to fix this problem? I am running XP with NTFS file system.

Xygonn, Are you by chance running Norton utilities or Anti-virus on you system. It seems these programs like to store deleted files. Check to see if this is where your space is going.

Right click trash bin and purge Norton protected files, that is, if youre using Norton antivirus.

    Hi,

Do you have the option to show hidden and system files turned on? Try this and look for the largest files again.
