I usually use subsync to put my subtitles in sync with my video, but subsync will not work with mkv files. Is there a program out there that works as good and as easily as subsync, and will work for mkv files? I would appreciate any suggestions. Thank y ou
Which software did you use to play the MKV? I know VLC can let you adjust the subtitle time manually.
If you know the approximate delay you can try MKVMegeGUI to correct it. Highlight the subs, insert a correction and remux.
I didn't know you could do this with subtitles that are not in the MKV itself. Can you tell me how? Thank you
The menu bar....Tools.....Effects & Filters....Synchronization,however it would be better to remux like attar mentioned
Hi kookie56, you may want to read this: https://wiki.videolan.org/Adjust_Subtitle_Delay/ or https://pctonic.net/sync-subtitles-with-the-video-in-vlc
