MKV File help.

    Hey all, i downloaded a torrent and it is in MKV file format. How do i get this to play?

    Media Player Classic should be able to play .mkv files, provided you have all the necesary codecs. A convenient way is to download and install K-Lite Codec Pack (full or mega version) that comes with all the codecs you need as well as MPC:

    If you want to encode and burn .mkvs, WinAvi and ConvertXtoDVD are both good choices.
