hi im living in southern ireland have got the box super works perfect on my n-- areial my friend does not have n-- ariel so he bought mmds areial of sat and cable tried two different types are with in 15 miles of transmitter as well the will not work bought power supply as well can anyone help

had a problem with one a few months back same thing only picked up certain channels gave up after a while reckoned the tuner was bust,so what i would suggest is try one of your boxes in his house and see if it works.

 

His works perfect in my Gaff....... mines works in my gaff
Mines doesnt work in his!!!so I dont think its a box issue!!!

 

has he a subbed box?

 

i have looked a the information there and tried again it still says no singal i can evening see the transmitter any more ideas

 

are you both in the same area?

 

The sat&cable thingy has a different downconverting frequency. Try a scan at 690 mhz and 698mhz.

 

tried this still no good set it all up in my house still will not pick up any singal

 

The polarization of the aerial has to be right and the psu should working.
Some blokes are producing a short circuit with bad fitted f-plugs at the aerial cable.

 

check connectors perfect set arial up in every position tried two different arials still no good

 

If the inner wire core get contact to the braided wire cores and/or the metal foil shield at the cable thats a short circuit.
Btw you need a free line of sight to the transmitter.

 

anybody got any idea if the 12 volt Maplin Masthead Power Supply Unit will power the c...us mmds ariel
