    Hi

    your default freq on the chorus box wont be suitable for the downconverter, its a 662MHz downconverter.

    Not sure if you can change the freq on that box

    You need a box-T, eurovox TX or dreambox T for use with that aerial

    What is it set to currently?

    what ever it is just add 440MHz or 440000KHz to it

    It says FREQ.(khz) 218000 is the signal information part of the box
    if i change it to 626000 there is a slight improvment but still not enough signal strength

    it was 218 i added the 440 to get 662 when i entered that into the ch*r*s box its automatcally changes it to 662116 khz and I get a small amount of quality but no matter where i point the aerial this doesnt improve. It will not let me change freq in the Network configuration part of the Ch*r*s box could this be the problem

    Ah right

    You need the default freq to read 658MHz or 658000KHz i think

    then the central freq will be 662MHz and every +8MHz

    You have to use band scan at the chorus box.
    A network scan is not working with the wrong downconverter.

    Set the Network Type from "Transponder" to "Automatic".
    Btw bandwidth is 8.
    Its also a good idea to notify down all settings first.

    The old downconverter has these details on the side

    RF = 2500 ~ 2686MHz
    IF = 214 ~ 400MHz

    Gain = 30db

    Would this get a better signal from a chorus box?

    You need a box with dvb-t tuner for chorus mmds and there should be a setting network type = transponder at a sagem box from chorus.
