I have a channel dump file. I can send it to you to add to Eamo's Library if you like.

    Lastcuban,
Do you have an NTL Digital MMDS system? If so what box do you use.

    Everyone!!
I read through the other topic (http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/504030) but couldnt find all the info I needed. As I said earlier I found an Aerial/downconverter/power supply on eBay . It downconverts to 222 to 408 Mhz which should be fine. The other topic was primarily Cho*us whaeras I'll be using N*l MMDS. Can anyone tell me what kind box I need to unscramble all the channels? I'm ordering the Aerial today! Hope to have it soon.

Any DVB-C box will do for N** MMDS, i.e., Starview,Eurovox, Dbox, etc. Ch**** MMDS requires a DVB-T box.

Thanks again scOuser. Is there any fear that N*l & Cho*us would switch to the same system now that they're the same entity??

Any idea which box I should go for? I'm probably going to get a PVR box while I'm at it!!

I have both a Dreambox500 and a Starview PVR. I only got the PVR last week and have not yet had much time to play with it so I would not like to comment on it yet. Before that I was mainly using the Starview as I would think it is much more user friendly/idiot proof than the Dreambox.

No problem if they do it will more than likely be the N** format that is followed.

As lastcuban said I would probably stick with the Starview due to it's ease of use. I am not too convinced that PVR functionality over MMDS will be too hot either way.

    Folks,
Thanks for your help. Just said I'd let you know that I setup the MMDS ariel & downconvertor I bought from the States with a Starview box & it worked a treat. All the digital channels are perfectly clear & unscrambled!!

Sorry Ferg I am in and out tonight :)

The SV will work with N** MMDS as you know, MMDS DVB-C variant used by N**. The only thing is I am like you and need him/her to verify if it is the AFN they used.

As the MMDS signal from the mast is broadcast at 2.5Ghz and must be downconverted to between 200 and 400Mhz. I think the spacing is 8 Mhz also. So as said need verification on aerial used, downconvertor and power inserter.

    Folks,
The ariel I bought was one of the AFN(Armed Forces Network) ariels. It comes with a downconvertor suitable for MMDS. I am using it 2 pick up N*L MMDS in Galway. It outputs DVB-C so the Starview box is working perfectly. Can't give a full list of channels as I haven't had a chance 2 mess with it yet but I definitely have the Sky Movie & Sports channels +++++++.

This is the link for the Aerial:

This is the link for the downconvertor that is supplied with the ariel:

    Any more questions just ask!!
