Mobile Phone Tools Download

OK, I'm a little late joining this topic
I have a v180 and a usb cable
so far i have
downloaded the motorola mobile phone tools
and have read that i should choose v220, but that isn't an option.
i read something about an update, but i don't know where it is because a lot of those links are dead (or at least they were last night when i was checking)

all i want to do is copy an mp3
i know someone posted a step by step guide, could someone please provide me with a working link or some instructions?

Can someone PM me and send me a link to V3 or a version that can be live-updated to V3? I've got 2.16 and the update link takes me to the website.

 

I have tried installing mobile Phone Tools 1.23c. It gets almost done then I get this error.

DLL function call crashed. Pbkinstall._GetBookNames[/bold/]

Any way to get past this? My buddy got the same file and had NO problems. Running XP SP2 as he is.

 

i am looking for a driver(s?) for my v265 to use it with MPT or truesync. i don't even know if it's out yet, arg. thanks for any help.

 

I have the usb cable for my motorola v220 but it said that I needed to install software inorder for it to work. And I keep hearing about phone tools and was wondering if thats what I needed? and where I can get it.

Anyone have a link for version 3.11? I have a V551 and have the 2.X version and need the newest one. Thanks in advance.

 

use liove update feature of 2.X or better

 

I installed v3.11 and get to the Phone Setup Dialog but then it says "Please wait. You phone is being initialized and setup" and then it just sits there and doesn't do anything and never connects to the phone. I uninstalled service pack 2 because I read that that might cause problems. I have the same problem if I run v2.16. Please help! The whole reason I got this phone is to upload MP3s to it and now I can't even connect to it

Apparently all the techies aren't answering questions anymore here. I had a problem with an earlier version loading, couldn't get an answer here to my problem, and found the link above on Dec. 9, downloaded it and installed it with no problems at all.

has anyone used a v265 with MPT version 3? the motorola now says it will work, but i don't think it did a week ago. so it looks like i need the 3.19a update... anyone??

 

mpt 1.x allowed one to access the phonebook on your mobile directly. i can't seem to be able to that anymore with version 3.x .

i also wanted to know if anyone has any hints on synchronizing directly with outlook contact files (other than exporting to some intermediary format, etc). this was another very useful resource in version 1.x which seems to have disappeared.

is there a plugin, maybe?
