okay i followed all the instructions and installed it when i power on with power button the mod chip starts flashing red and the screen is just blank but when i power on with the eject button it starts up with normal bios please help.
Check your soldering over again, because when you try to enable the chip it does not work. Pay close attention to your D0 wire also, as that may be your problem here...
everyting is alright soldering i did not put the hard drive in can i just put a new hard drive in and it will format it its self or do i need some other software. thanks

[bold]1)DuoX 2 Chip[/bold] [bold]2) DuoX 2 Cromwell/FlashBios Edition[/bold] [bold]3) DuoX 2 Lite Chip[/bold] [bold]Now dealing with the DuoX 2[/bold], if you have a ver 1.0-1.5 Xbox and are using the bank 0 bios, you should be getting this screen when you tap the power button to turn your Xbox on... If you have a ver 1.0 - 1.6 Xbox and are using the bank 1 bios, you should be getting this screen when you tap the power button to turn your Xbox on... With the [bold]DuoX 2 Cromwell/FlashBios Edition[/bold], you should be getting this screen on bank 0 when you tap the power button to turn your Xbox on... Bank 0 contains the latest Cromwell bios. You should be getting this screen on bank 1 when you tap the power button to turn your Xbox on... Bank 1 contains the latest FlashBios (3.03-1). So you turn on your Xbox and the DuoX 2 chip starts flashing red, well that is what it is supposed to do, so that sounds good to me. Now, you are just not getting any picture on your t.v. at all when you turn your Xbox on w/ the power button? Or what is your exact problem, IN DETAIL. I also need to know what version Xbox you are running... Let me know and I'll try and help you out!
my modchip doesn't do anything including no screen no blinking lights nothing it just stays there can you still help me out v1.6
Try disconnecting the mod chip from the LPC pins, and then turning on your Xbox. If it works, great, if not, then were in trouble. If it does not work, try desoldering everything out completely, and see if it works then. Did you rebuild the LPC points on your ver 1.6?
anyways don't worry about that stupid xbox it broke all ready so don't worry about my problem thanks anyway
Well, sorry to hear that man. Look into getting a new motherboard/hard drive combo for your ver 1.6 Xbox, as it will be much cheaper than buying a brand new Xbox. Or else buy a used one that isn't a ver 1.6, because they are easier to mod. You could also look into a solderless solution, such as the X3 w/ the Xapter. Hi im new to modding xboxes Im a little confused about something I just bought a DuoX 2 White Flashbios Ed. and it suposed to be preprogrammed with the latest Linux BIOS including Flashroutine. I dont know what this means really Right here it says I have to flash my xbox and install a dashboard. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/141037 So does that mean I already have everything flashed because its preprogramed or do I have to flash it myself and install a dashboard myself. Well, the chip does contain the flashbios and Linux bios already, but they are just on there so that you can get a hacked bios on there, otherwise, your Xbox cannot do anything more than it could unmodded w/ out that hacked bios.
