modding a lga775 800mhz fsb cpu to a 1066mhz fsb cpu

    Hmm, why not buy a 4Ghz Quad core? Because they don't exist!

    I dont need a 4 ghz quad core.
    2.4ghz is more than enough for me.
    Heck, even my e6300 was enough for me.
    I just wanted to have a lil bit of fun with an old cpu, that's all.

    That's fine. In all honesty though, you're not going to gain much out of a old P4 Prescott, you may as well up the voltage some and get a good cooler for it to squeeze the most out of it.

    i will just stick it in a better mobo (asus striker) and see what i can do. it is currently in a crappy ecs p4m800pro-m

    Not for OEM's like Dell that have no overclocking so this is the only way.
