moniter or HDTV ??

    im planning on working over the summer specificaly for to spend 2 grand+ on some sort of display...can i display my cable tv on my computer moniter ?? or can i display my cpu on an HDTV ??? if i can go both ways which one should i choose? ive got bout 3-4 moths to decide doim in no hurry :)

    I hooked my laptop to my Panasonic 50" plasma via a DVI to HDMI cable
    and with some minor tweaking it is amazing.

    Yup, i do the same, Dvi to HDMI, its beautiful, and you can go cable in tho component, with most new nvidia cards. Or tv tuner.
