ihave a single layer 4.7gb dvd disc containing the lord of the rings trilogy. picture quality and sound quality is excellent. How is this possible?
Are you 100% sure it is a single layer disk? The only proggy I know of that could do this is Cinema Craft Encoder.
It is also very possible that the disk is made into a VCD format. When you look at the files in your browser what do you see?
Im guessing vcd also.Ive made up some of these compilation discs, to play in my compact travel players, and smaller tv's.The picture quality isnt bad, but not dvd quality.
Maybe it's just AVI or DiVX files(s). I don't even think it's possible to put 8 hours of movies on a VCD, SVCD or DVD otherwise regardless of the bitrate quality.
I can put well over 5 hours of mpeg 1's on a dvd, using the vcd template in TMPGEnc mpeg encoder. If they were just avi's, then they could only be played on dvd standalone that play avi's,that is possible tho.
Hi bbmayo, the disc is a philips dvd+r 4.7gb single sided disc. when I open the file ,it contains. 1xvideo ts file 1xvideo ts bup file and 8x vts files , with a total capacity of 4.23 gb.
