Can any one give me details how more than one film can be put on to one dvd disc, not dual layer?
There are many ways
Im gonna give you my way of doing it
First i need to know what types of files are you using??
Are you talking str8 DVD backups
Are you talking AVI, mpeg, xvid ect???
since this is a general question heres a general answer.Yes.
Using shrink dvd:
1 explore the disc
2 copy the video_ts folder to your hard drive
3 once it is on your drive rename the folder to the
title of your film.
4 put the next disc in your drive.
5 do the first 3 steps again.
6 Open shrink
7 select re author mode
8 find the 1st movie on your hard drive and drop and
drag it to the left side where the dvd structure
word is( only select movie)
9 find the 2nd movie do the same as step 9
10 Select backup
11 After the burning takes place you should have 2 movies on your disc. The 1st will play and after it finishes i think theres a 8 sec gap before the 2 nd movie starts
I just wanted to make a small rectification...
"...theres a 8 sec gap..."
The gap between titles shouldn't be more than 1~2 seconds (depending on your set-top player).
Thanks for the two replies. I am using the file format that dvd shrink has produced.
Could you explain what you mean by explore the disc. How do I do this in dvd shrink. Can I set up a menu so that I can select the film I want to watch, if so how and with what software. Thanks in advance.
A DVD Shrink "compilation" guide.
To make menus you will need a DVD authoring software of some sort (DVD Author, DVD-Lab,...).
A free option would be Titlewriter.
It has the ability to quickly make simple menus for DVD Shrink compilations.
pernes when you put the disc in your dvd rom and it is detected ,right click that drive and explore, then copy the video_ts folder to your hard drive.
@ddlooping: i wish it was a couple of secs, but at current it is 8 secs.It seems to stumble after the first movie has finish playing to when it starts the next.(is there an option i need to change)
andmerr , I'm affraid there are no options for this.
It's the speed at which your DVD player is able to jump from one title to the next. :/
thanks for the reply just curious in later releases of shrink are they going to allow animated menus
I don't know if there will ever be a next release, let alone what new features it could include. :/
I can get 2 movies on with single layered discs and 3 with dual layered but wanted to see if shrink would actually let me have the animated menus but o'well have to find another program to do that .You got any suggestions?
thanks again for the quick reply
I don't think it is actually possible to make a compilation of several movies [bold]including[/bold] their original menus.
still hunting that one, one of my mates friends has done it but he ain't sober that often so it might take a while before i can get an answer to how he does it
Please let us know how he did it, if and when you manage to get it out of him.
