Well, I got good news and bad news... The show was freaking awesome!!! An absolute stunning display by all the bands involved... The bad news is that my phone died so I was only able to get two short Dream Theater clips. One got ended short because I got yelled at by security, and the second is when my phone actually died... Sorry, ZoSoIV I tried my my best to get DT video and would have been able to if my phone didn't die... Will upload and post link once I get the chance...
Washington Avenue Armory Albany, NY Here's all the photo's and video's I took that night. http://rapidshare.com/files/116359993/P_Nat_08.rar password: afterdawn.com watch in the Dream Theater clip where you can see the d-bag from security waving his arms and pointing me out for USING MY CELL PHONE to record the show...
Its not like I was using a high quality camera or anything... What about the 100 other people taking pictures? If you visit the website for the tour http://www.progressivenation2008.com it has a link to where you can UPLOAD your videos and photos you've taken at the shows... And yet I got yelled at for taking them???
Kanye West glow in the dark tour... by far the best concert ever. The stage was designed by the people who did muppets and the guy who made nightmare b4 christmas.... It was a space odyssey theme with a huge screen on the back of the stage representing the spaceship monitor with a robot voice that he talks to and the stage itself was made to look like the moon with craters and mountains. Oh and to top it off Kanye was standing on a big platform that represents a spaceship and rises and rotates and blew out smoke and lazer beams... And all this was glow in the dark when the lights went off! plus NERD, Lupe Fiasco,Pharelle, and Rihanna was all there. 5 hour long concert. $250 floor seats 4 rows back...worth every penny. no one can top this...Kanye dont play he goes all out. cell phone pic..kinda bad but you get the idea.
Going to Mayhem Festival in Hartford, CT on August 16th!!! Slipknot, Disturbed, Mastodon, etc... http://www.mayhemfest.com
Mayhem Fest Hartford, CT August 16, 2008 http://rapidshare.com/files/138018396/mayhem_fest.rar Unfortunately we had lawn tickets so my pics and videos for Slipknot and Disturbed aren't up to my usual quality (or lack thereof) Enjoy...
I am sooooo pissed - I come home this afternoon cutting short being outdoors enjoying the great weather here to get ready for Avenged Sevenfold tonight only to find this: TONIGHT'S AVENGED SEVENFOLD SHOW HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO ARTIST ILLNESS. The Box Office will be in touch regarding the rescheduling of the show ASAP. We are sorry for the inconvenience. -Rams Head Live This sucks - in all the years I've been going to concerts and I go to quite a few - I've never had this happen. What sucks too is Ram's Head Live is a small club that great to see bands at - it's usually a great time. Grrrrrrrrrrr...
Now calm down Binkie...there are other bands i'd be more worried about than Avenge Sevenfold. Sorry they canceled it on you.
I reallly wanted to see them there but I guess it's just not to be - sob Next up though for me is Staind, Seether and Papa Roach on 10/4.
Raging Kipper at the Crown and Flicknife in Bolton... never seen the like before or since...Believe.. I have seen some weird stuff in my time as a live sound engineer and Kipper take the cake for quality and atmosphere.. one of those nights when it just happened.... and the smell lingered for weeks after. (and I got paid to be there!!) I'm not one for this "stadium rock" stuff.. boring overpriced rubbish if you ask me... Nothing better than an incredible/unbelievable/unclassifiable band in a small sweaty overcrowded venue to really bring back the proper meaning of rock.
The Trivium/All That Remains show was incredible... The place should have been shut down there was so many people there... Even Phil Labonte (Vocals for All That Remains) is gloating about how incredible the show was. Alot of my friends are telling me they're so jealous because of how close I was (none of the photos are zoomed in). I don't think they realized the hell it is to walk through a 1000 person mosh pit and how much it hurts. Next show I'm going to is on December 6th, at the Worcester Palladium. In Flames, Gojira, 36 Crazyfists (who I have already seen twice), and ALL THAT REMAINS Below is a link to the few photos I was able to take in the giant mosh pit called Toad's Place. On October 1st 1969, I saw James Brown's "Sex Machine" tour live in Augusta GA. The "Sex Machine" CD/LP (back then) is still one of the best selling "live" CD's/LP's of all time. If there was a better "live" band I want to know it. Thanks!!
Gojira, 36 Crazyfists, All That Remains, In Flames... December 6th. Worcester Palladium... OH and one of the guys I work with on the Mass Pike just sent me a picture of him and Phil Labonte (ATR) that he had taken about 10 minutes after I left work tonight!!!! I'm mad... lol
saw Widespread Panic this past weds. night ,amazing set they played 3 hours and 20 mins. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SRF3TUtzhUs&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4QNa3nvGsgQ&feature=related
