Hi, I'm another green horn when it comes to burning files. I've joined a Legal movie download site and I have downloaded a movie which is a mov file. I want to burn this movie to dvd using nero6 but I'm having no luck at all. Can anyone help a man who's about to hit the vodka over this one.

    Much appreciated
    Thank you

    Hi canmaker, Welcome to aD,

Your .Mov file is basicly a Quicktime Vob file and should burn fine using Nero 6 if you burn it as Data file - NOT a Video file -

Give it another go and if you're still having trouble, come on back -

Make sure you bring the following -

The exact steps you're taking, what proggys you're using, a log of your actions - Your burner and PC specs, programs running in the background and a six-pac of beer - this work makes me thirsty -

    Cheers,

    Pete

Keep in mind standalone DVD players won't recognize Quicktime files :)

tanx Pete & Nephilim, gonna try it out when i get home from work. One more thing, is there a way of changing the file type so it will play on a standalone player. Is that a stupid question guys?
    Tanx again
