First go back and start at the beginning do a factory reset then do your scan then negravision enter your code and save after each line then turn on emu exit x3 and you should be there

 

To get back sound on e4 sky1 ect just select the channel in question press menu,
select installation, select manual scan, click ok on down frequency.
It'll now scan for channels when its finished exit back to normal
tv viewing screen go to the end of your channel listing and the desired channel will be there with sound.
This can be done on any channel with no sound by just selecting that channel following the instructions above.

Well lad you are very welcome to our humble abode here and any help however small wont go unnoticed as i was doing this for the last couple of months and i did not even own a box myself until this week

Guys, need a little help please. Got my first starview box yesterday (Dublin Area, genuine box & using N*L service). Currently the box is going into freeze while it's doing an auto scan. Have tried multiple times always the same.

At one point i done a factory reset, Flashed to Version 3, scaned about 6 times always with a failed for every channel. I scaned again and suddenly everything worked after i turned on EMU and put in the codes.

Tried the box on my main TV - but had no sound or picture?? Put it on the test TV and all good? Reset and flashed again (2.57, 3 & 4) and now cannot even scan anything in from either TV. Every channel comes up as failed but i'm only getting 50% scan at a max before the box frezes. As i say i've done a reset and flashed to 3 diff versions and freezing every time.

Ya collage is work but i have the choice and it was mine to go back to collage after working for 30yrs so i dont know why because i wont even bother with a job just love computers to bits like my right hand now i am 4 years at them now so gained a little knowledge

 

There is a tutorial available at the bottom of my post download it to your pc and read it then the codes are on page 1 for you come back when you have tried that

 

Sounds like a bad flash. Try reflashing again. If you are sure you have a gen box reflash to V4 as this stops the frezze problem of V3.
