all the talk of autoroll not working must be wrong, i didnt even know the keys had changed so the autoroll seems fine

Ryan, you should try to get hold of one of the mods/admins, ask him to make your thread 'sticky', or whatever they call it on here, so that it stays at the top of the pile, 'cos it's going to go down the list, and off the first page if people keep posting to other threads.

 

Hi saloon, if your not sure, another way to check if clone or not is to count the number of vent slots from the front case of box to back, it should be 25 in all ( 7 rows - 25 slots each ), hope this helps, if there is not it is definately a clone.

 

creaky does be on here sometimes but i guess nobody is on today.

 

the only thing about the clone boxes is that if you dont mess with them they work fine!!! have had a clone working in the gaff for over three months now... no problems apart from the obvious code change!!

 

actually i have an orininal 2nd gen box a clone and "the box" working fine....

there was a thread not long ago about "the BOx" not taking the sv software.... they do and work fine with it

 

the box is the same as the sv just the outer case is diffrent.so people don't get confused whether they have a clone or not

 

I've got one on my PC but have never used it. I've got all sorts of cables and am trying to work out how to set it up. I thought the S-Vid on the box was in only.

 

yeah i understood that when i took them apart to show ferg... i cant remember what page it was on there was a guy wanting to know whether the firmware and codes worked or not and there was no answer.!!!

So "the box" does take starview bin files, is it done with GTRom Loader etc. secret menu access same procedure as starview, I only ask because I am thinking of upgrading to this, when everything settles down, Cheers

 

yeah it defo does i have 10 of them out there no probs whatsoever but im a chicken wont upgrade firmware have 257 on all of them!!!

 

sorry and done with the gtrom loader too!!! handy eh!! but as said above it is only a 2nd gen box dressed nicer and the menu is nicer also and the channel change is slightly quicker!!
