i think mikey is in england, ferg had it working with v4 so it would have autorolled and we would have got the keys for ch****, we will have to wait till someone can post them

malci, chk ur email i sent. problem since then. fergus told me to get null modem 9pin female 2 female cable, but it doesn't fit my pc. i have laptop. seems i need female 9pin for box and male 20 pin for laptop. are these easily got?

 

Alrighty lads. I was able to get back the channels with sound gone as outlined on this forum, but I still have lots of channels with video and audio out of sync. i have trawled through the thread (I know how annoying it can be when you've already answered the question a couple of pages back) but cant find out how to fix this problem. Any help would be much appreciated.

Also did I read correctly that there is a newer firmware than v3.00? Whats it do and is it safe for clones?

hi look at fergs post on p93 about getting the sound back, also there is no clone safe firmware at the moment so if its working keep on entering the keys manually ok

If you're in dublin - I went looking for the usb to rs232 and found them in Maplins and Peats.

The one in Maplins was €34.99 and the one in Peats was €19.99.
