    Did you check out maplins maybe they are cheaper than peats and only around the corner as well.

    cwaters doesnt quite have the same ring to it does it!!

    Just realised my laptop in work has an RS232 cable connection. Just got it yesterday - that'll be taken home with me for updates methinks!!

    Dear All,

    Can any of you guys provide me information on where to buy a signal booster/ amplifier suitable for starview2 (the box).

    I seem to be having signal issues I have 4.00 firmware installed and seem to be loosing some chs due to loss of signal.

    A prompt reply would be appreciated.

    hi there,

    have found myself that you need an original box from cable provider in the wall to work the boosters dont seem to transmit the signal much better... here in ireland anyway!!!

    Maplins were actually more expensive Steo, believe it or not - €35!!

    herald go on to ebay and search for usb to rs232 cable, i got mine there it was only 1p plus 3.99 pounds for postage it took about a week to come, thats 4 sterling in total much cheaper than buying over here

    Cheers Mike - but just after discovering that my laptop in work has the RS232 connection. Ill just bring that home whenever I need to do updates! What ripoff merchants Peats and Maplins are!! They probably cost less than a euro to put together!

    Looking forward to having video and audio synced - although the movies this week are perticularly bad. American Pie presents The naked mile for example

    I got one on fleabay for a couple of quid but I was waiting 3 weeks for it to arrive from Hong Kong.
