Mikey as said a while back on the thread. But I think it is quite stable from hearing news from different sources.

 

Is it only for the clones, or will it suit the genuine box ?

 

i think its save because i have looked around and no probs yet

 

Malci only for clones do not useon gen boxes. latest FW Version 4 is for gen boxes.

 

i had it on my genuine yesterday and it was grand no problems with it,i checked the autoroll and that worked so it seems ok.

 

it worked ok on my gen but i have it back on 4.00 now.

 

Sorry Ryan but it has been configured with an additional patch to the rom 10 image. May be OK for gen box but I have been told by the image editor it is only for cloned boxes. Let me know how it gets on with your gen box interesting to see if it is compatabile.

 

i put my box back to 4.00 this morning.

hi guys back again. to answer your question polwood yeah thought that might work myself and tried it last night (desperation and all that!!)but unfortunately didn't work. just thought it might come in on a different signal. was talking to navanroad earlier and he suggested that maybe trying v2.58 (only got v4 last night!) as he is working off that, so going to try and get that later. but he is in dublin area so might make a difference. he also suggested ringing ch**us and asking if digital is available in my area. i've rang them and it isn't so maybe this has a bearing on my problem?! maybe you have to have digital available in area to receive signal.

maybe someone else working off ch**us outside dublin who doesn't have digital and is getting signal could let us all know how?!! if this is the case then its curtains - we just won't be able to operate until it becomes available folks.

I posted this back a few days ago when in discussion with Fergus and Mikey. I have tested it for a week now and others have tested it for over three weeks. I have been told it is only for clones and as I have not got a gen box I cannot test out this point. V4 for a gen box is what I would recommend unless you are having problems.

 

are the drivers for the rs232 xp :- pl2302 found on the quoted link ?? and do you need them for windows xp ?.i am waiting ready to upgrade to version 4 when the forum say they are safe to use also please explain what is autoroll ?

 

well ryan i'm obviously not the only one experiencing this problem cos had a post from polwood with the same problem earlier. so we're going to keep each other posted on progress, we'll see what happens.

be interesting to see what answers other in outside ch**us areas come back with. if any solutions come up i'll keep you all posted. at this stage it's looking slim to nil that i'll be able to get it.
