    Morning peeps!

Just to let you know that after a week, my 3.00ee firmware update is still running without any problems on my Star View box.

As, has been said (more than once) before, the likelihood of freezing of pictures may be down to overheating and/or poor ventilation of the boxes. My box has plenty of ventilation space around it and the space around it is constantly at room temperature.

Can't say more than that, other than that I will monitor the situation and keep you all informed.... :)

Firstly, the starview 2 AKA "the box" isnt all its cracked up to be. its just a starview with a new coat and a new price tag!! the eurovox, on the other hand IS the way forward. it atuo-updates out of the box - no messing about with firmware updates. also, the EPG on eurovox DOES work. The dbox2 is even better than the eurovox, more features, much more potential but theres a bit flashing and messing about with it involved. Dont get me wrong, the starview is a nifty little box, it might need the odd code tapping in now and again but its a small price to pay for a box that's less than £80 and gives you 100's of channels

I have a eurovox and a starview. The euro vox is the way forward for me...no messing about...plug and play from box; auto update and I think the EPG is better than the starview, just a personal opinion, however I agree with the price issue...for the money you fork out for the starview any updating is a small price to pay. Anyway...what do we all want for nothing; how much would 140 stations cost each month lol...

    Hi all,

I've just joined so i'm new to all this. My Starview box has lost several channels i.e SS2, Attheraces, Racing UK and golf channel. It is showing no signal when I try to access these channels. I have tried scanning the box and all the codes are entered correctly. Does anyone have a possible fix for this problem?

Yes, I am pressing ok after each one. When I now try to do a manual scan, it goes straight to 50% and says 0 programs found.

press menu, press 1570 which takes you to the secret menu. key emu is at the bottom, it must be on to unscramble channels

hi mikey due to his first post he was only missing a few channels so i might have confused him with a manual scan
