    im not sure on the irelan providers, theres 2 that i know of, n*l & c****s. the provider id for n*l is 54 01 & the id for c****s is 5E 01.

    thanks mikey have already tried those, but someone suggested that maybe i might be on different provider id cos i'm outside dublin. villadub is having the same problem and she's in kildare. yet fergus gets reception there.

    whats happening when you try these? are the channels scrambled or isnt the box finding any channels?

    zilch - nada - nothing comin up!!! no programs found. have tried everything at this stage. losin faith!!

    Marlynn, you have stated before that you are not is a digital enabled area, if so then obviously your not going to recieve a digital signal, ring chorus and enquire about getting digital and see if they say if your area is enabled or not, if not then a starview box is useless to you as it cannot work without a signal.

    marlynn i dont think your going to get any stations, you said ch***s are not brodcasting a digital tv service in your area therefore the starview aint going to work

    Well im awake and back here again , if anyone needs me im around, no problems noticed over the night, no phonecalls saying theyve lost picture n stuff so looks good :)

    Now that my clone is back up, i have a spare genuine box available, and seen as the rest of me family have got one already and i have 3, then im willing to sell, its going cheap and im broke so anyone with a natwest nearby can buy it today :) pm me if you want it :p

    Anyway like i say, if anyone wants any help, im around!

    are you doing manual searches for cahnnels
    if you have the new codes a friend of my in newbridge does the following and he get 65 channels
    Hi

    I got that starview box sorted out with chrous.


    You need s/w ver 258
    You need to go into installation
    and do a manual scan

    replace 6887(ntl network) and put in 6875(chrous network)

    Then do a manual scan on the following frequencies
    371000
    395000
    363000
    307000
    315000
    323000

    Ive heard something about that before, its even crossed my mind why they didnt do it ages ago seen as though its asuch a simple way to clear it!

    Anyway starview for sale, just the 1 genuine, help a broke lad out, buy it cheap and pay today, offers via pm please :)

    no but n** are have a firmware that will break the starview so don't put any firmwrae on that you don't know were it came from.

    Hi ryan, Have just read the thread, is this in your opinion genuine - has mikey checked out v4 I presume he has, I am running v4 at present, no problems, version released 7th June, had it on for nearly 2 weeks, anyway we can be sure, whats your opinion, regards

    can anybody help me my chanels have gone i used to use ex c&w but it seems to have gone now i only have ntl,chorus and so on ive tried a rescan but can only pick up the channels on ex c&w very puzzled please help
