Hi.Is anyone else getting a commentry whilst watching movies on sm comedy.Last night there was a voiceover which seemed to be describing all the action in the film.

 

are you pressing ok after each code or each line of code you should be pressing ok after each line i know this might sound stupid but i know of people doing this

 

also if you are using software 258 it will not work you will have to change to another i am using 257 works fine 4 me

 

Starview box manual key input


Entering keys manualy works fine.
Works with all firmware except 258 as known to have issue's
also no need to scan/reset just follow instructions below

To put keys in manualy do as follows.

press menu
press 1570. this takes you into secret menu
Hit ok on nagravision
and change both keys 00, and key 01

Make sure your cable provider is listed at top NTL or TELEWEST C&W CHORUS ect
To change between the 2 keys
highlight key number press right and left
When changed hit ok (To store) after each one..


(YOU MUST SAVE EACH KEY INDIVIDUALLY - I.E. AFTER CHANGING KEY 00 MAKE SURE
YOU STORE BEFORE CHANGING KEY 01 (TO STORE PRESS OK)
THEN MAKE SURE EMU IS TURNED ON HOPE THIS WILL HELP

You should be able to turn off the audio description by pressing the audio button on your remote control.

Try scanning on other providers. I get different channels come up on exC&W to the ones on NTHell.

Thanks for the info druidius i am still undecided as to change from 2.57 with my clone as aside from the keys issue i cant see any difference apart from a slightly better epg and the picture ratio.By the way have you seen the sheer amount of people trying to shift ' the box' on fleabay? One guy had 250 for sale on a 5day auction and sold only one with 2 hours remaining! I think people realise its not worth the extra...

I have a starview box and I have put in the new codes for telew***
00 AB 1E 05 EB C6 65 46 77
01 51 6D 0F 08 41 BB D5 D8

I have also turned emu on and rescanned and I am still missing most the channels apart from non paying channels. No sky sports , movies or anything worth watching.

This starview is API ver:2.57e_E : Boot version 7.0.

I would be so pleased if anyone could help me get the sports channels as our rest home would like to watch the football tonight from our secret TV room with this starview box in it.

You need to enter all the codes on page 1 and save each row of numbers as you go along all the way to the end and make sure your emu is switched on

 

Timtyke to be honest the only reason i used v3 was cause my box held the codes first couple of times then it kept ressetting itself to n** when i exited which was a tad annoying lol

 

Just a word about th so called TheBox it does not have a faster processor as people have been led to believe it is exactly the same as the original starview

 

About our v3.00 we have on this site it works on a clone box for some reason without freezing this is the feedback we have been getting also we have had no reports of any boxes dieing either

 

Works great on mine fergusrb saved me loads of moans off the kids thanks for putting it up.
