oh yea your right, i just compared them both and theyre 1:1 identical. i didnt know they were the same. i think it should stay as 257 though bcause the version hasnt changed when you look in the sys info menu. this will just confuse people. surely if someone knows how to edit these files then they could change the version

 

just checked both the 2.57 fixed and v5 there exactly the same.so your right souser

Okay fella's, just to say that we obviousley have to stick to tried and trusted suppliers of firmware, and when you mention fixed 257, please state it is - clone fixed 257 - you know what people are, they don't follow the thread, just jump in, know they should but what can you do.

 

could just be someone who downloaded 2.57 fix and just renamed it.you don't know if they actually edited the file.

Ryan there is three distinct differences in the fixed 2.57 api.

One is a redirect to the autoroll fix
One is the autoroll fix itself
One is the checksum

 

no i was saying when mikey said why don't they change the name in system info because it will confuse people i was say v5 was someone who got 2.57 fix.and just renamed it v5 they didn't edit it them selfs.

ive checked it against the original 257, there is differences. ive got it on my clone now, just waiting for a key change to see if it works. typical isnt it - when you want the codes to change it never happens lol
