Guys will you please relax with the constant misinformation, the same thing happened last week with the autoroll issue, and it was as I said just a technical problem, as for N*L releasing a hacked firmware to bugger up some boxes I personally doubt it, they don't even write the firmware for their own boxes, these come from the manufacturer. would be very hard for them to get a firmware that will totally break a box, the box can always be reflashed or jtagged, a "virus" is not possible on a cable box as it would need to be able to spread and how would it do that.

As usual I would just put this down to the usual scaremongering. (people are very paranoid on here these days thanks to Wizzard and his clone killing firmware)

As for Marylnn, IF YOUR NOT IN A DIGITAL AREA YOU CAN'T GET DIGITAL CHANNELS, (would be like trying to get sky without a dish)

I'll answer this one, No definately not possible, for various reasons,

1. Incompatible tuner
2. Sky doesn't use nagravision.
3. Sky's encryption isn't hacked.

many other reasons but basically is a definate no


Before getting rid of Box call chorus and enquire if they have plans to upgrade the area your in.

Sorry Marlynn just before you left yesterday I asked you had you moved from an N** area to a c***** area with no digital. You seemed to indicate that you had and I replyed that it would not work in your new area if you had a dish. Best to ring C***** and ask them have they got true cable in your area. This will put your mind at rest I hope.
