It is possible that the cable you are using is not a null modem, but a straight through serial. Go to G***le, and search for 'virtual null modem'. Download a trial version, it will trick the gtrom loader program into thinking that you are using a real null modem cable.

 

Also check that the gtrom loader program is using the same COM port as the one Windoze sees. I think the gtrom defaults to COM1, and windoze could be using COM2,COM3,COM4, or possibly even higher.

I hadn't spotted that one scouser. Fair play to you for pointing out to other folk that it's available on drewish's site.
It's still working away here on my 'zombie' box.

I had seen guys before selling other versions of the firmware, and couldn't figure out how anybody would actually buy it, when it's free all over the net.

 

Also, fair play to scouser for bringing up drews ban. At least he'll be back, but as say, why hasn't that fleabay scumbag been kicked for good, at least drew does excellent work on here, helping people out.

Thanks eamo I started testing the 2.57 au when I seen it nearly two weeks ago and only after I had seen it been tested elsewhere for nearly a month before I released it here. Glad people are gettin the benefit now, god i may sound annoyed but I really do despise chancers!

thanks anto, lets see how it goes. We can do without these scumbags, I know I only got my sv about 3 months ago, but I'll always have a good root around on the net to learn as much as I can. I certainly wouldn't jump at the first thing, like free firmware for £3, or whatever he's selling it for.
We all know that a fair amount of people will get taken in by these chancers, 'cos when you do a search, these f**kers always come up first.
