    - exactly why drewish got a temp ban and not a perm ban, he helps here and advertised in error (and after i'd advised people not to, hence the ban)

    - no can do, 'fraid i had to temp ban, them thar rules is rules..

    as it's nothing personal in the PM i'll turn the other cheek this time :p

    ..and no problem, you guys & girls see any more stuff that shouldn't be in the threads/forums, don't hesitate in hitting that 'offensive report' button, or PM a mod

    sorry the starview is quite basic in this regard and only has a 24 hour preset function.

    Ok many thanks,think i may have thought of a way round it,on the timer select you have the option of once off or daily so if i set it daily when not here on the channel i want but only set the dvd recorder on the specific day the program is on il be sorted..

    Am i right in saying r*e2 is not available in the uk? Cant say ive ever seen it as one of my channels and ive got 250

    eamo downloaded a null modem but not sure how it works can u explain as i may have a straight through.

    Sorry Magoo, I can't really help you there, don't normally use Windoze.
    I'd say run the setup program for the virtual null modem to install it, and read either the help, or the README or README.txt if there is one.
    I would think you just need to install it, and possibly reboot because that's the way M$ works, and I guess it then just sits there, picks up any traffic heading for the COM port, and does it's stuff.
    I just came across the 'virtual null modem' program the other day, and suggested it someone, and it worked.
