The point is most of us including me had never heard of an RS232 or NULL MODEM cable before we got this box. So as we know that Maplins call the straight wired one an RS232 and the reversedwired one a NULL MODEM cable we shouldn't tell people to buy a RS232 from Maplins as it won't work.

We always or at least I do recommend buying a D9F to D9F null modem cable.

I thought about buying one but decided to build a media centre PC instead.Call me pessemistic but I think the SV is to popular for the cable company to not find some way to neutralise. Best thing I've done in ages

Are you running V4? I'm still on 2.57 and would like to know if thre are issues with V4 or have they sorted out all the stuff from V3

yeah i am on v4 there is no freezing and the keys autoroll the epg isn't good but i bought a tv guide so there are no probs here for me
