hi all cables are getting confusing to transfer data page 24 of the star***w user guide download software via rs-232 serial cable

with regard to people getting confused over which cable to buy ma@@ins sell the cable for 9.99 if you just look on fleabay where most people seem to have bought there boxes you will find the cables stating they are for cable recievers for 99p and 89p item number 230144999104 postage i've bought 5 now from there and theyve all been perfect the only one i had that didnt work was one that came with a clone i bought from a certain dodgy seller

please note i am not advertising myself just trying to save some people wasting a tenner at ma@@ins

 

If you buy from ebay then get a Serial Null Modem Cable DB9F to DB9F RS232 an it will be very cheap. However if you buy from Maplins it must say NULL MODEM on the box not RS232.

Whateverr you buy make sure it is a NULL MODEM cable

 

Hi Ya'll, I cant seem to get the 16:9 working on v4. When I select it in the menu the screen still stays at 6:4. Anybody know how to fix this?

 

Hi all, just wondering if anyone had tried the versionn 257 with autoroll on a genuine box,i have a genuine box but run with v4.00 but the screen aspect ratio isnt that clever with a 16.9 tv,i am forever altering things to get rid of horizontal and vertical lines.from what i remember v257 was better for this,but dont want to put the modded autoroll version on if its going to screw my box up.

 

I thought v257 autoroll was only for clone boxes !
